The following techniques will change the
way you use the internet. Try them out. Be amazed!
Techniques:
Web Research
Most people go onto
the internet to research a topic. This is where pageQ comes
into its own. Open a new Q and hit the pageQ Google button.
Type in a search argument and save the
results page in the Q. Then you can always get back to
it. Browse away and capture the pages you want to look at again
in the Q. Simple.
Send Favorites
Once you
have done your web research create an html Q and send it to
a friend. If they have pageQ they can import the html Q and
add to it. If they don't have pageQ they can still play the
html Q.
Orgainse Favorites
Look at your Favorites
folder. Create Qs from your existing favorites using the pageQ
Favorites dialog. Save to disk or your desktop, or save in the
My Qs sub-directory of Favorites. PageQ offers a new way to
organise your favorites.
Repeat Browsing
Wether you have broadband
or not this is a great technique. Create a Q of the sites you
want to visit daily, weekly or whatever. Put the Q on your desktop
for easy access. Then all your frequent sites are one click
away.
Photo Slideshow
Get some free space
on the web and put your photos up. Then create a Q of your photos.
JPEG or GIF files on the web can be accessed just like any other
page by typing in the url. Save as an html Q and send your new
slideshow to a friend. The html Q you send is tiny as it only
contains the address of the photos, not the actual images themselves.
Training
If you
have a web application or content you can use pageQ to create
a training sequence of pages with annotation. Once again the
Q you create is tiny as it only contains references to the pages.
Trading/Shopping
Create a Q of any online
auctions or shopping sites that you watching. Save to your desktop
for easy access.
Shop Window Display
Using the loop function
of pageQ you can create a rolling display of web pages that
will continuously display. Real Estate agents, travel agents
and businesses with a reception area find this useful. F11 -
Demo mode works well here.
Presentation
Create your presentation
as a series of web pages and put the web pages on your web site.
Then create an html Q of the pages and put it on the web site.
Wherever you go you can show the presentation by typing in a
single url. You can also send it in an email or as a link. No
more huge presentation files clogging up email space.
Guided Tour of Web Site
Html Qs can be posted
on a web page. This gives the ability to create a tour of your
own web pages that can be accessed at the click of a button.
Just create a Q of the pages you want and place the html Q on
a web page or in an email.
